BLURB:

"When the one thing you live for is taken from you, do you let it go or do you fall?
Jade, like any other student at Brushwood High, awaits the start of the school year with a certain measure of dread. Worse, she is being threatened by a voice that only she can hear—a voice that lurks at the edges of her awareness, haunting her and warning her of something unknown. She has always been able to count on her two best friends, Claire and Nate, but can she confide in them now? About this? Would they even believe her?
Life takes a turn for the better when she meets Avan, a darkly handsome new student who, somehow, seems to drown out the voice and make her feel at ease.
But Jade soon comes to realize that good things don’t last forever. When everything spirals out of control, she is shattered by something she never saw coming. Dazed and despairing, she must now overcome tragedy and embrace her true existence and a new but dangerous love. Will she be able to save herself and those she loves, before it’s too late? Or will she let the surrounding darkness consume her?"

Hello and Welcome to all the new people stopping by for the “Feathermore” Blog tour.  I have the honor of your visit today and can’t wait to tell you about this awesome book.  Word of warning, you will get sucked into this book! I give it 5 out of 5 stars not because I know the author and she has become a good friend, but because, it really kept my attention to the point my kids almost didn’t get dinner one night because I was so engrossed in reading.

I was very partial to the main character Jade, not only because as you read her thoughts and get to know her, you can relate to her in a lot of ways, but also that’s my daughter’s name so, well, she was my favorite, lol.  As the story begins we meet Jade as she ready’s herself for the first day of school and the start of the same dull routine until she is haunted by a strange voice that is trying to tell her something.

When she arrives at school she is met and rendered speechless by Avan the new kid at school.  Right away she is drawn to him who the moment he touched her sending a bolt of electricity threw her body. There is something about him and although she wants to find out what it is, she is reluctant at first.

Jade is changing, and not the way we all do when we hit puberty. Her life has hit rock bottom with the death of her parents and the fact that she is finding out that her two best friends are not who she thinks they are and everything about her life and who she really is comes to light.

This book was field with twist and turns that in the end you really won’t see coming. The down point, the ending builds you up in the battle scene that reminds me of Twilight, and like most really great beginnings to a series leaves you saying WHAT?!?!?! I literally wanted to shake my computer and say that can’t be it, but like you I will have to wait.  I know there is a sequel coming so I really can’t wait for that now!!!!!

Great job Lucy, Feathermore is wonderfully written book!

Make sure to check it out!

Peace, Love & Hope~JC
